Leonardo DiCaprio’s legendary outfit from the 1997 blockbuster ‘Titanic’ is set to hit the auction block, with an estimated value of up to $250,000.
DiCaprio shot to superstardom for his portrayal of Jack Dawson in the iconic film. The ensemble being auctioned includes the shirt, waistcoat, and trousers worn by DiCaprio in ‘Titanic’.
Inside the vest, there’s a tag bearing the name of the tailor, Dominic Gherardi, along with the inscription ‘Mr. Leonardo DiCaprio’ and the date August ’96.
This much-anticipated auction, featuring DiCaprio’s costume and other memorabilia from the film, is slated for November 9-12 and will be hosted by Propstore Auctioneers in London.
Described by the auction house as “one of the most iconic and sought-after costumes in cinema history,” DiCaprio’s outfit is anticipated to garner significant interest. ‘Titanic’, released in 1997, scooped up 11 Oscars, including Best Picture, and Best Director for James Cameron.
