The Schengen Area comprises 27 member countries, all located in Europe. These countries are Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Croatia, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland.
If you’re planning a trip to any of these Schengen countries, there are specific requirements you’ll need to fulfill. One of them is providing a recent bank statement that demonstrates you have enough financial resources to cover your stay.
In case you plan to stay with a friend or family member, a letter of support from them will be necessary instead of a bank statement.
