During a TV program hosted by anchor Javed Chaudhry, a physical altercation broke out between PTI lawyer and legal expert, Sher Afzal Marwat, and PML-N Senator Afnanullah Khan. The situation escalated quickly, with both individuals exchanging heated words and eventually resorting to blows.
Marwat later discussed the incident on another show hosted by anchor Waseem Badami. When asked about the scuffle and the involvement of physical force, Marwat confirmed the events, stating, “Yes, it is true because Afnanullah abused Imran Khan.”
He went on to explain that just as Afnanullah’s father used to verbally attack Imran Khan, the PML-N leader continued this trend by using derogatory language against the PTI chief. Marwat emphasized his dual role as both Imran Khan’s lawyer and an ardent supporter, highlighting his strong connection to the PTI leader.
“I am a Pathan. I responded to abuse just like a Pathan,” said Sher Afzal Marwat. He stressed that while he could have chosen to remain composed even when faced with verbal abuse, the derogatory remarks directed at Imran Khan, including being called a Jew, crossed a line. This led to his forceful response.
The video of the incident was shared on YouTube by a private TV channel. In the footage, Senator Afnanullah Khan derogatorily refers to Imran Khan as a boot-licker, prompting Sher Afzal Marwat to retaliate with a similar insult directed at PML-N leaders.
Host Javed Chaudhry intervened, urging both guests to address each other’s accusations with reasoned arguments rather than resorting to anger.
Following the break, Sher Afzal Marwat appeared to be absent from the program, while the show continued with Afnanullah. It’s worth noting that this altercation is not the first between the two individuals in recent years.
