LAHORE – Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has unveiled several initiatives aimed at supporting students, including the distribution of scholarships, bikes, and laptops.
While scholarships and bikes have already been distributed in various cities, students are eagerly awaiting the delivery of laptops. Last month, the Chief Minister set a target of 90 days for the laptop distribution.
A total of 2000 laptops will be given to minority students, and laptops will also be provided to Matriculation and F.Sc position holders.
Laptop Specifications and Beneficiaries
Punjab students will receive the latest Core i7, 13th generation laptops, as stated in the official announcement. A total of 40,000 laptops will be distributed to students, including 20,000 from universities, 14,000 from colleges, 4,000 from technical and agricultural colleges, and 2,000 from medical and dental colleges. Of these, 32% will go to students from South Punjab.
Eligible students include those studying Computer Science, Medical, Science, Engineering, Social Sciences, Business, Language, Veterinary, and Agriculture fields.
Laptop Distribution Schedule
The distribution of the laptops will begin in January 2025, as confirmed by CM Maryam Nawaz.
