LAHORE – Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) is responsible for supplying natural gas to millions of customers across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and other regions of Pakistan.
Due to the shortage and low pressure of gas during the winter months, the company has issued a gas supply schedule for domestic consumers. The revised schedule divides the day into three time slots, ensuring that consumers receive full-pressure gas supply during these hours.
This schedule is aimed at helping domestic consumers plan their daily activities, such as cooking, around the designated gas supply times. SNGPL officials stated that the schedule has been implemented following government directives, with a commitment to providing gas at full pressure during the specified times across all areas.
New Gas Schedule for Winter Months
As per the latest gas supply schedule, consumers will have access gas during three specific time slots: 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
Time Slot | Gas Schedule |
6:00 AM – 9:00 AM | For morning meals and heating |
12:00 PM – 2:00 PM | Supports midday cooking and heating |
6:00 PM – 9:00 PM | For dinner |
The demand for Sui gas typically rises in winter due to increased heating needs, as people use gas for boilers and heaters. Additionally, shorter daylight hours and potential heat loss from inadequate insulation contribute to higher gas consumption, leading to a notable surge in usage during the colder months.
