Gold prices experienced a notable decline on the first business day of the week, both locally in Pakistan and on the international market.
In Pakistan, the price of one tola (11.66 grams) of gold decreased by Rs1,700, bringing it down to Rs274,500. The price of 10 grams of gold also saw a reduction of Rs1,457, reaching Rs235,340.
This drop in local gold prices reflects a similar trend in the global market, where the price of gold per ounce fell by $17, settling at $2,633.
Jewellers in Karachi confirmed that the decrease in gold prices was consistent in both the local and international markets, marking a shift after several days of price fluctuations.
