LAHORE – Parts of Punjab including Lahore received rainfall of varying intensities with experts predicting the wet spell to continue on Wednesday evening/night.
According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), there is a weather system called a westerly wave affecting the northern and central regions of Pakistan.
In these conditions, there’s a chance of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in several cities including Bhakkar, Sahiwal, Mianwali, Khushab, Sargodha, Jhang, Toba Tek Singh, Faisalabad, Sialkot, Narowal, Okara, Kasur, Lahore, Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Gujarat, Mandi Bahauddin, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, and Rawalpindi on Wednesday evening and night. Additionally, rain, wind, and thunderstorms with snowfall are expected in Murree, Galyat, and nearby areas. Hailstorms may also occur in some isolated places during this time.
On Thursday and Friday, dry weather is expected in most districts of the province. Cold and dry weather is expected in Murree, Galyat and surroundings.
Lahore’s minimum temperatures will likely remain between 11-13 degrees Celsius on Thursday and Friday.
Meanwhile, rain-wind/thunderstorms occurred at isolated places in central/southern Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Murree was the chilliest location in the country, with temperatures reaching as low as 03°C. The relative humidity in the morning was measured at 75%.
