The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) is happy to share news about its six-week Summer Internship Program (SIP), set to happen from June 24, 2024, to August 02, 2024, at SBP in Karachi.
The program welcomes Pakistani and AJK citizens who have a valid CNIC, NICOP, or Pakistani passport to join, as long as they meet the eligibility criteria and follow the application process explained below.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Eligible students should have completed at least two (2) out of four (4) years of a Bachelor’s degree program or be enrolled in a Master’s program in disciplines such as Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Mathematics, Statistics, Human Resources, Agriculture, Media Sciences/Mass Communication, Information Systems, and Technology.
- Students must have a minimum of 70% marks in percentage system or a minimum CGPA of 3.00 out of 4.00 or 4.00 out of 5.00 where GPA system is applicable.
- Students must meet these requirements at the time of applying. Graduates or students awaiting results are ineligible.
Application Procedure:
- Incomplete applications will not be considered.
- Applications submitted in person, via mail, or through email will not be accepted.

Application Deadline:
The last date to submit online applications is February 15, 2024.
Selection:
- Shortlisted students will be notified by March 15, 2024, and must submit scanned attested copies of the last semester’s official transcript, CNIC/NICOP/valid Pakistani passport, and domicile, along with a passport-sized photograph.
- Attempts to influence the shortlisting process will lead to disqualification.
- SBP will make the final selection and communicate with the chosen students via confirmation email.
Important Notes:
- Misinformation at any stage will result in the immediate cancellation of the candidature.
- The internship will be held only at SBP in Karachi. Selected interns will not be reimbursed for travel expenses to and from Karachi or provided accommodation during the internship.
