Dwayne Waden, a 57-year-old pastor from North Carolina, is currently facing legal scrutiny due to an alleged assault at a McDonald’s.
The incident unfolded following a dispute involving Waden’s wife and another individual, eventually escalating into a violent altercation. Surveillance footage captured the disturbing incident, revealing Waden’s attempt to push the man involved towards a deep fryer.
Law enforcement authorities carefully reviewed the footage, leading to Waden’s subsequent arrest on charges of assault and battery. He was taken to the police headquarters and later posted a $1,000 bond. Waden’s court appearance is scheduled for January 22.

The troubling incident took place on December 28 at a McDonald’s on S. Main Street. Tammy Waden, Dwayne’s wife and a managerial trainee at the restaurant, sought her husband’s assistance after facing disrespect from coworkers. Witnesses reported that Dwayne entered the premises, putting his hands around the victim’s neck and allegedly pushing the victim’s head towards a deep fryer while delivering punches to the face.
Quick intervention by other employees prevented further harm, but the victim did sustain injuries, including a contusion to the forehead and scratches on the neck. Despite emergency services being called, the victim chose to go to the hospital with family.
