Joey Lawrence, the heartthrob from the ’90s known for his roles on Blossom and Melissa & Joey, found love with actress Samantha Cope.
The couple, who met on the set of Lifetime’s My Husband’s Secret Brother, got married shortly after realizing they were meant for each other. Lawrence, famous for playing Joey Russo, the lover and killer in the film, tied the knot with Cope in May 2022, and they recently welcomed their baby girl, Dylan Rose.
Cope, an animal lover and advocate, not only cares for her two dogs, Jax and Dakota, but also volunteers at the animal rescue Big Heart Ranch in Malibu. She holds certification in equine therapy and actively participates in saving and rehabilitating shelter animals.
Both Lawrence and Cope are actors, with Cope having notable roles in TV movies and shows like The Lake, Private, Insecure, Rizzoli & Isles, Master of None, Workaholics, and NCIS: Los Angeles. They first crossed paths while filming My Husband’s Secret Brother, and since then, they have collaborated on various projects, including Mistletoe Mixup and Frankie Meets Jack.
The couple got engaged in 2021, and Lawrence shared the joyous news on Instagram. Their wedding took place in a picturesque outdoor ceremony at Temecula Creek Inn in May 2022, attended by close friends and family, including Lawrence’s brothers, Andrew and Matthew.
In January 2023, Lawrence and Cope welcomed their daughter, Dylan Rose. Despite being their first child together, Lawrence is already a father to two daughters, Charleston and Liberty, from his previous marriage.
