The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has implemented a ban on issuing Dubai visit visas to citizens from 20 countries due to concerns over overstaying and engaging in unauthorized work. This restriction applies to nationals from various African countries and is now in effect.
The countries affected by the ban include Ghana, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Cameroon, Nigeria, Liberia, Burundi, Republic of Guinea, Gambia, Togo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Benin, Ivory Coast, Congo, Rwanda, Burkina Faso, Guinea Bissau, and Comoros.
This decision comes about a month after the UAE introduced a new visa policy, stating that no visit visas would be granted to Nigerian citizens under the age of 40.
It’s worth noting that Pakistani nationals are not affected by this ban and remain eligible to obtain visit visas for travel to the UAE.
