For every UAE citizen and resident, it is a legal requirement to apply for and carry this card at all times. This service is available for all age groups of UAE nationals and GCC nationals who are officially residing in the UAE.
However, expatriate residents, excluding GCC nationals, are not eligible for this service. They can only avail of urgent service in the case of replacing their identity cards, as the issuance or renewal of identity cards is tied to proof of residency and related procedures.
To avail the ‘Fawri’ service, individuals can visit specific ICP Customers Happiness Centres located in various cities across the UAE, including Abu Dhabi, Dubai, the Western Region, Al Ain, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, and Umm Al Quwain.
As for the fees associated with this service, for UAE citizens:
- AED 100 for a five-year card issuance.
- AED 200 for issuing a card for ten years.
- AED 50 service fee.
- AED 30 Typing Center fee.
- AED 150 for urgent service fees, conducted at customer happiness centers.
For GCC nationals residing in the UAE:
