The Abu Dhabi Police have given a strong warning to drivers about passengers who hang out of windows or stick their heads or bodies out of the sunroof. People who do this risky behavior will get big fines.
The authority took to social media to alert drivers about the dangers posed by such acts and urged them to adhere strictly to safety rules and regulations.
Getting involved in such actions can lead to a big fine of Dh2,000, plus your vehicle being taken away for 60 days and you getting 23 traffic points. This dangerous behavior doesn’t just endanger the people in the car but also threatens others using the road.
Earlier, Dubai Police posted a worrying video showing kids sitting on car roofs and leaning out of windows while the car is moving. At the time, the authority also stated that vehicle owners must pay an additional Dh50,000 to get their impounded vehicles.
