The Abu Dhabi Judicial Department’s Centre for Legal and Community Awareness (Masouliya) has launched a three-month campaign on domestic violence titled ‘Violence… the end of family stability’. The campaign aims to make people aware of the bad effects of domestic violence. It will talk about ways to stop it, family rights and duties, and punishments for those who do it.
Masouliya uses social media and different media platforms to share information about domestic violence. Director Dr. Mohammad Rashid Al Dhanhani emphasized the significance of family stability, pointing out how it helps in the growth of society and the upbringing of children.
The campaign highlights the importance of family communication and respect, especially in today’s social media age. Its aim is to teach people about building strong family bonds. In the UAE, the domestic violence law is comprehensive, covering actions, words, or threats that harm someone’s physical, mental, or sexual well-being, with a particular emphasis on safeguarding individuals within families.
