The Station Police Officer (SHO) City Muzaffargarh, Khurram Riaz, has refuted the claims made by politician Jamshed Dasti regarding a police raid on his residence and harassment of his family.
In a video shared on social media, Riaz dismissed Dasti’s allegations as false and without basis, asserting that no such incident occurred. Riaz mentioned that Dasti’s wife had submitted her nomination papers for the upcoming provincial election without any interference from the police.
Furthermore, Riaz accused Dasti of attempting to tarnish the image of the police force and incite a law and order situation in the district. He appealed to the public not to be swayed by Dasti’s propaganda and emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and harmony.
Earlier, Jamshed Dasti, the leader of the Awami Raj Party and a former National Assembly member, had accused the police of conducting a raid on his house and mistreating his family. He had called for an inquiry and action against the implicated police officials.
