I am writing to bring your attention to the recent PTI protest organized by party members, including Bushra Bibi (Imran Khan’s wife) and Ali Ameen Gandapur. They, along with numerous PTI supporters, led the protest in response to Imran Khan’s bail from custody, which was linked to various ongoing cases, including serious corruption allegations.
This protest has caused significant disruptions, particularly in Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Key roads, including Margalla Road and D-Chowk, have been blocked, leading to considerable travel difficulties for the general public. Tragically, the protest has resulted in the loss of lives, including both protesters and law enforcement officers. In addition, the blockages have prevented many individuals from reaching hospitals in time, exacerbating the already tense situation.
Students have been unable to attend their educational institutions, and office workers have faced severe delays, impacting productivity and causing significant inconvenience. The closure of schools and other educational establishments further emphasizes the urgency of addressing this situation.
I kindly request that the government take prompt and strict action to prevent further escalation of the protests and ensure the safety and wellbeing of all citizens. I hope this message will raise awareness through your platform and reach the relevant authorities to take necessary steps.
