LAHORE – Public and private schools in Lahore and across Punjab are set to reopen after the winter break, according to the existing schedule. There are no reports indicating an extension of the holidays.
The provincial government had announced winter vacations from December 23 to January 10. Schools will resume classes on January 13, 2025, following the weekly break on January 11 and 12 (Saturday and Sunday).
Earlier, rumors circulated suggesting that the winter break might be extended due to the ongoing cold wave across the country. However, no official statement has confirmed this, and it has been affirmed that schools will reopen in Punjab on January 13 (Monday).
Schools Reopening Date in Punjab
As per the current schedule, both public and private schools in Punjab will reopen on January 13, 2025.
Schools in Sindh Resume After Winter Holidays
In Sindh, schools and colleges have already resumed academic activities from January 1, 2025, with no extension to the winter holidays. Educational institutions in the province typically observe winter vacations from December 21 to 31 each year.
