The alleged assault took place as Buscemi was walking along Third Ave. near E. 27th St. in Kips Bay. Following the attack, Buscemi was transported to Bellevue Hospital for medical treatment, sustaining bruising, swelling, and bleeding to his left eye.

Williams is accused of punching the “Reservoir Dogs” star in the face. Law enforcement authorities are actively searching for Williams, who was described as wearing a dark-colored baseball hat, a blue T-shirt, black pants, and white sneakers at the time of the incident.
Similar Incident Involving Michael Stuhlbarg
Prior to the assault on Steve Buscemi, a similar incident occurred on March 31 involving Michael Stuhlbarg, a co-star of Buscemi from “Boardwalk Empire.” Stuhlbarg was walking in Manhattan’s Central Park when he was struck in the back of the neck with a rock.
Details of the Previous Incident
Despite being attacked, Stuhlbarg managed to pursue the assailant and apprehend them outside the park. The New York Police Department (NYPD) subsequently arrested the individual responsible, identified as Xavier Israel, described as a homeless person possibly suffering from mental instability.
Arrest and Past Criminal Record
The arrest occurred around 7:45 p.m. near East 90th Street and East Drive, with Israel apprehended near the Russian Consulate. It’s worth noting that Israel had previous arrests for offenses including assault and robbery in 2022.
