Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jamil’s son committed suicide at his house in Talamba, their native town in Punjab
Moreover, PRO Chaudhry further added that Asim was a psychiatric patient and had been under medication for many years. He took his own life with a 30-bore pistol, the RPO said, adding, “Asim asked his domestic help — Imran — to bring the pistol.”
“My son Asim Jamil passed away today in Tulamba. This accidental death has made the atmosphere mournful,” he wrote.
The religious scholar added, “We request you [people] all to remember us in your prayers on this miserable occasion. May Allah grant my son a high place in Jannat.”
