Almost 1,000 Doctor’s have registered themselves to travel and treat thousands of patients in besieged Gaza during the ongoing crisis.

Dr. Zahid Latif, the Chairman of Al-Khidmat Health Foundation, recently shared some important information in an interview with a local news outlet. He mentioned that among the 1,000+ medical professionals associated with their organization, 400 are female doctors. These dedicated professionals come from various medical fields, including orthopedic, vascular, and general surgery, anesthesiology, pediatric surgery, emergency and critical care, and gynecology.
Unfortunately, the healthcare system in Gaza has suffered greatly due to Israeli airstrikes, leading to the destruction of health facilities and the tragic loss of many doctors and paramedics.
The Ministry of Health in Gaza reported that over 18,000 people are injured, and they are facing significant challenges in accessing essential medical supplies.
In response to this crisis, the Al-Khidmat Health Foundation has reached out to the World Health Organization (WHO) country office in Islamabad and the WHO EMRO head office in Cairo, Egypt.
They have expressed their willingness to send Pakistani healthcare specialists to Gaza to provide vital medical assistance.
However, as of now, they have not received approval from WHO and its partner organizations to send these healthcare professionals to Gaza or any neighboring country of Israel to assist in this critical situation.
