The University of Health Sciences (UHS) in Lahore has officially released the admission schedule for PhD and MPhil programs for the session 2023-24. The application process is set to kick off on October 30.
This decision was made during a meeting of UHS’s Administrative and Academic Advisory Committee (AAAC), led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Ahsan Waheed Rathore.
For this academic year, the university will be accepting candidates in five disciplines for PhD programs and 12 for MPhil degree programs. The application process will be conducted online, with entry tests for both PhD and MPhil programs scheduled for November 19.
The entire admission process, including interviews, is slated to conclude by December 31, paving the way for classes to commence on January 1, 2024.
During the meeting, the performance of 270 MPhil and 75 PhD students was assessed. It was decided that the university and its affiliated colleges will transition to a semester-based system for B.S. degree programs starting this year. Additionally, the Doctor of Physical Therapy degree program will also shift from an annual to a semester-based system.
Furthermore, approval was granted for the establishment of a Career Counseling and Placement Center, which will operate under the University’s Alumni Association.
