If you’re a Pakistani planning to drive in a foreign country that recognizes international driving licenses, you’ll need this crucial document. It’s essentially permission from your government to operate a private vehicle abroad. In Punjab, especially if you’re heading to the UK, you can obtain one through the city traffic police offices or police khidmat markaz across the province.
Necessary Documents For International Driving License – Here’s what you’ll need:
- An attested copy of your CNIC.
- An attested copy of your valid driving license issued by the licensing authority.
- Two passport-sized photos, each attested (one from the front and one from the back).
- An attested copy of your passport (make sure it’s valid for at least 6 months and has the visa of the country you’re visiting).
- A court fee ticket of Rs. 22.
- Another ticket costing Rs. 60.
- You’ll also have to deposit Rs. 180 on an STR form in a designated branch after passing the required test.
Remember, you’ll receive your international driving license on the same day you submit the application. Just make sure to bring your original CNIC, driving license, and passport along. Safe travels!
