Imran Riaz Khan, known for his YouTube channel and television anchoring, was apprehended two days after widespread protests erupted across the country following the arrest of PTI Chairman Imran Khan on May 9. After his arrest, he was initially taken to Cantt police station and later transferred to Sialkot prison.
Following a petition filed in the Lahore High Court for his release, a legal representative informed the court that Imran Riaz Khan was released from jail on May 15 after providing a written undertaking. On September 20, the Lahore High Court issued a final ultimatum to the Punjab police chief to locate and recover Imran Riaz Khan.
