On Friday night, the caretaker government implemented another substantial increase in petrol prices, raising it by Rs26.02 per litre, along with a hike of Rs17.34 per litre in high-speed diesel (HSD) prices.
Following this adjustment, the new price for petrol stands at Rs331.38 per litre, and HSD is priced at Rs329.18 per litre, as announced by the Ministry of Finance in a late-night X (formerly Twitter) post.
The decision was attributed to the ongoing upward trajectory of petroleum prices in the global market. Notably, there were no alterations specified for kerosene or light diesel oil rates.
