The Indian High Court has granted bail to Bollywood superstar Allu Arjun, who was involved in a stampede during the premiere of his blockbuster film Pushpa 2 at the Sindhya Theater in Hyderabad on December 4.
According to Indian media, the stampede tragically resulted in the death of a woman, while her two sons were severely injured, with their condition reported as critical.
Allu Arjun was arrested by the Telangana police in connection with the stampede incident. Police officers arrived at his home this morning, took him into custody under tight security, and brought him to the police station for questioning.
A case of manslaughter and assault was filed against Allu Arjun, his security team, and the management of the Sindhya Theater. The case claims that the Telangana police were not informed about Allu Arjun’s visit to the theater for the screening, although the theater management was aware of his arrival.
