ISLAMABAD: Petrol, high-speed diesel (HSD), kerosene, and light diesel oil (LDO) prices in Pakistan are expected to rise in the coming week, according to sources.
The anticipated price hike is attributed to the ongoing increase in global oil prices, which have been steadily climbing for the past several weeks.
Sources indicate that the government is likely to announce a significant increase in petrol prices next week, although the exact amount is still unclear. The price hike could range from Rs. 10 to Rs. 15 per liter.
This increase in fuel costs is expected to negatively impact the economy, leading to higher transportation expenses and rising prices for essential goods.
Earlier, the federal government had announced that petrol prices would remain unchanged until the next adjustment period.
