In a significant step towards employment generation, the ‘Maryam Ki Dastak’ project set to create job opportunities for hundreds of thousands in the region. The program’s facilitators, known as ‘Dastak Representatives,’ will play a key role in this service delivery model.

To apply for these roles, candidates must meet specific criteria: a minimum education of Intermediate, possession of a mobile phone with internet access, a police clearance certificate, and a personal motorbike with a valid driving license. The application process for becoming a ‘Dastak Representative’ streamlined through the ‘Dastak Facilitators App,’ developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB). The ‘Maryam Ki Dastak’ initiative offers services such as issuing domicile certificates, e-stamping, and processing birth, death, and marriage certificates. The app also streamlines procedures for property tax, token tax, motor vehicle registration, and vehicle transfers.
