Hajj 2024: Another Nigerian pilgrim participating in the Hajj has died in Saudi Arabia.
Faruku Aliyu-Enabo, the executive chairman of the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Board, announced in a press statement on Sunday that Muhammad Suleman from Kebbi state passed away in Makkah after a short illness.
This news comes shortly after Tawakaltu Alako, another pilgrim from Kebbi, died on Saturday after collapsing in her Makkah hotel. Aliyu-Enabo mentioned that Suleman was buried following Islamic customs and expressed his condolences to Suleman’s family and the pilgrims from Kebbi state.
“The deceased died on Sunday after a brief illness and his funeral prayer was held at the Al-Masjid Al-Haram (Ka’aba). He was buried according to Islamic rites on the same day,” Aliyu-Enabo said.
“On behalf of the Kebbi State Government, I extend our heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, Kebbi pilgrims, and the entire state.
“We pray to the Almighty Allah to forgive his shortcomings and grant his soul, as well as the souls of all departed Muslims, Jannatul Firdaus.”
