Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a notable rebound on Monday, following six consecutive sessions of decline, in line with the surge seen in the international market. Locally, the price per tola of gold surged to Rs240,500, marking a significant single-day increase of Rs2,500.
Data provided by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) indicated that the price of 10 grams of gold reached Rs206,190 after experiencing a notable rise of Rs2,143. This uptrend came after an Rs1,600 per tola drop observed on Saturday.
In the international market, the price of gold also experienced an upward trajectory, reaching $2,322 per ounce (with a premium of $20) after a $21 increase throughout the day, as reported by APGJSA.
In contrast, silver rates remained steady at Rs2,620 per tola.
This resurgence in gold prices follows a cumulative loss of Rs7,000 per tola over the preceding six consecutive sessions. It is worth noting that last month, gold reached an all-time high of Rs252,200 per tola in the domestic market.
