WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that promises to transform event planning without the need for additional applications. Now, users can effortlessly organize events or birthday celebrations directly within the app.
Creating an event in a group chat is simple, enabling all members to RSVP and view the list of attendees. Similar to calendar notifications, event details will be displayed on the group’s information page, and attendees will receive reminders as the event date approaches.
Initially, this feature will be available to groups within a Community, with broader availability to all groups expected soon.
WhatsApp Will Let You Assign Favorite Contacts Soon
In addition to event planning, WhatsApp has added another feature that allows users to respond to admin announcements within Communities. User replies will be grouped and condensed for better context, with notifications muted to minimize disruptions.
Excitingly, WhatsApp is also developing a dedicated dialer feature within the app. Currently in beta testing, this feature will eliminate the need to save contact numbers in the phone book, enabling users to easily call and message contacts directly.
Previously, users had to save a contact’s number for it to appear in their WhatsApp contacts list. With the new dialer feature, users can quickly dial phone numbers without the hassle of saving temporary contacts.
Stay tuned for the launch of these innovative new features from WhatsApp, promising to elevate your messaging experience.
