KARACHI: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori seems to be really impressed by the extravagant wedding of Mukesh Ambani’s son, the richest man in India. He’s hoping to see similar grand events happening in Pakistan too.
Governor Tessori mentioned that the extravagant event hosted by the Ambani family was talked about worldwide. He expressed a desire to see similar grand occasions in Pakistan that would attract important guests from around the world.
Anant Ambani’s wedding was a big deal worldwide. Lots of rich and powerful people from all over came to Gujarat, India for it. Some big names included the King and Queen of Bhutan, Rihanna, Ivanka Trump, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, Sundar Pichai, Bob Iger, and Larry Fink.
He also praised Pakistani businesspersons for playing an important role for the masses’ relief during the coronavirus pandemic and disastrous floods. The governor said that he did not complain about the lack of sufficient powers to serve the masses nor he would pick any stance like that in future.
Tessori stated that they gave out food supplies worth 1.5 billion rupees to needy families through the Governor’s House. He praised the generous act of a donor who contributed the same amount for providing essential items to impoverished individuals.
However, Tessori said that he would not reveal the name of the donor as the individual requested him to maintain secrecy.
The governor also mentioned that he plans to send a letter to the government asking them to add the president of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI) to the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
