It’s essential for Pakistani citizens to ensure their Smart National Identity Cards (SNICs) are renewed well before the expiry date or immediately after expiry to access various government and other essential services.
The National Database Registration Authority (NADRA) is the authorized body responsible for issuing or renewing ID cards, which are indispensable for numerous routine tasks such as opening bank accounts, purchasing property, making investments, or applying for jobs.
Without a valid ID card, individuals are ineligible to avail of these services or even apply for employment opportunities.
The unique 13-digit identification number provided by the SNIC is recognized nationwide. It serves as the primary requirement for obtaining documents such as licenses, National Tax Numbers (NTNs), bank accounts, passports, cellular connections, and more. Every Pakistani citizen aged 18 and above is eligible for a National Identity Card (NIC).
