Shab-e-Barat 2024 – The interim government in Sindh on Friday announced holiday in educational institutions on February 26 on account of Shab-e-Barat.
A notice from the provincial authorities stated that both government and private schools in Sindh will not open on Monday, February 26th.
Schools and colleges across the region will remain closed on occasion of Shab-e-Barat.
Every year, Muslims in Pakistan and other countries will celebrate Shab e Barat. This night, known as The Night of Fortune and Forgiveness, occurs before the beginning of the Holy month of Ramadan.
The faithful celebrate the night with religious devotion by praying extra prayers in mosques. They pray for unity, peace, and prosperity in the country and for the Muslim community worldwide.
Some customs refer to it as the night of blessings and accountability when God decides on many aspects of people’s lives, including their fate, blessings, and gifts for the coming year.
