The government of Pakistan has entered into an agreement with a company operating the global online payment system for the transfer of funds at the international level and the management of online payment systems worldwide.
According to the agreement, a third party will be utilized through PayPal to facilitate the transfer of financial transactions within the country.
PayPal operates a global system for online payments, enabling the transfer of funds through online means, and it operates in 190 markets worldwide.
It should be noted that freelancers and individuals associated with e-commerce had long demanded the introduction of PayPal in Pakistan, and former Finance Minister Asad Umar also expressed his determination to bring PayPal to Pakistan through his efforts.
