KARACHI – The Sindh School Education and Literacy Department has approved the academic schedule for the 2025-26 academic year. The decision was made during a meeting of the steering committee, which outlined key dates for schools and colleges.
The academic year for schools will begin on April 1, 2025, while for colleges, it will start on August 1, 2025. The department also approved the schedule for annual exams, results, and holidays for the academic year.
Matric and Intermediate Exam Dates
The annual exams for class 9 and 10 will start on March 15, 2025, while intermediate exams will begin on April 15, 2025.
Exam Results
The results for matric exams will be declared on July 15, 2025, and for intermediate exams, the results will be announced on August 15, 2025.
Vacation Schedule
The summer vacation will run from June 1 to July 31, 2025. Winter vacation will be observed from December 22 to December 31, 2025, with no changes to the previously set dates.
Syllabus Reduction
The department has decided to reduce the syllabus for matric and intermediate students by 25 percent for the upcoming annual examinations.
