MUZAFFARABAD – Due to the cold weather sweeping parts of Pakistan, school timings have been revised to protect students from extreme conditions.
The administration in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has announced new school timings. Starting from Monday, December 16, all government and private schools in AJK will operate from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM on weekdays. On Fridays, schools will begin at 9:00 AM and conclude at 12:30 PM.

According to the cold weather advisory, the cold wave is expected to ease in most regions, but continental air will persist across the country. A shallow westerly wave is approaching the north and west. Cold and dry weather is forecast for most areas during the weekend, with very cold, partly cloudy conditions expected in the hilly areas of Kashmir.
Temperatures in AJK are predicted to range from -14°C to -12°C. Jammu will experience sunny weather with temperatures between 3°C and 6°C. Garhi Dupatta will see sunny weather on Saturday, with thunderstorms expected on Monday.
Muzaffarabad will remain sunny, with thunderstorms and rain anticipated on Monday. Rawalakot is forecast to have sunny and partly cloudy weather, with rain likely in the coming days.
