ISLAMABAD – Zulfiqar Ahmed, the Director General of NADRA’s Sargodha region, has been dismissed from service after it was revealed that his BBA degree was fake. The dismissal came following an investigation into the authenticity of his educational credentials.
Upon NADRA’s request, the Higher Education Commission (HEC) conducted a thorough inquiry and confirmed that the BBA degree held by Zulfiqar Ahmed was fraudulent. It was discovered that the name of the college listed on his degree did not match the institution that issued it.
The Islamabad High Court (IHC) also upheld the HEC’s decision to revoke the equivalence of the degree. In response to a show-cause notice issued by NADRA, Zulfiqar Ahmed failed to provide a satisfactory explanation, leading to disciplinary action.
NADRA Chairman Lt General Munir Afsar initiated the dismissal process, emphasizing the importance of maintaining integrity within the organization. NADRA operates through eight Regional Headquarters, each overseen by a Director General, who is responsible for ensuring customer care and compliance with NADRA’s regulations.
