Electricity prices have been reduced for the residents of Karachi

Karachi – The price of electricity has been reduced by 18 paisa per unit for Karachi residents under the monthly Fuel Price Adjustment.

The National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) has issued a notification regarding the reduction for the fuel adjustment of September 2024, which will provide relief to K-Electric customers in their December 2024 bills.

According to the notification, this reduction will not apply to customers who use up to 300 units of electricity per month.

It is important to note that K-Electric had requested a reduction of 16 paisa per unit in the September adjustment and had asked for a refund of Rs 247 million to be returned to the consumers.
