LAHORE – Veteran Pakistani actor Shaan Shahid has sparked controversy on social media after sharing shirtless photos of himself, taken in a bathroom, on his social media account.
While some fans praised the 52-year-old star for his fitness and dedication, others criticized him for sharing such images, considering them inappropriate.
In response to the backlash, Shaan addressed the criticism through a social media post, offering his perspective.

He wrote, “Men and women are created equal by the Creator, but they have been given different gifts. Men possess physical strength, while women are blessed with beauty, patience, gentleness, strength, and modesty.”
Explaining the context of his photos, Shaan added, “At 50, I strive to transform my appearance according to the script. It is my job. I thank God for granting me health and the ability to take care of my body.”
The actor also emphasized that his intention was to inspire people in his age group to prioritize fitness. He further stated, “Men around the world have the right to be shirtless, and if anyone wishes to challenge this right, they are free to express their thoughts through their posts.”
Shaan’s statement highlights his commitment to his craft while addressing the societal divide on fitness and body representation in the entertainment industry.
