ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan said that M-Tag is being promoted by providing special discounts to vehicles with M-Tag in toll tax.
The federal minister, addressing a Senate Standing Committee on Communications chaired by Pervez Rasheed, stated that offering a special discount to M-Tag holders would alleviate traffic congestion at toll plazas.
Abdul Aleem Khan reported to the committee that although Balochistan possesses 42 percent of the country’s road network, it lacks any toll plazas.
