Pakistan auto market witnessed a downturn in sales, prompting expectations of price reductions. Lucky Motor Corporation took a bold step by offering a staggering discount of approximately 24 percent on KIA’s Stonic.
Amidst a surge in customer demand and bookings, the South Korean automaker decided to halt bookings for the Stonic following a significant price reduction of Rs15 lac.
Temporary Suspension of Bookings
In a recent announcement, Lucky Motors declared the temporary suspension of bookings for the Stonic. The decision was made after the company fulfilled its delivery commitments for this model until September 2024.
Customers who made bookings for deliveries until September are required to make a partial payment of Rs2.35 million. Further orders will resume in October, contingent upon market response and the company’s stock position, which will be communicated separately.
Price Lock Assurance
To ensure customer satisfaction, the automaker emphasized that orders booked with full or partial payment for September deliveries will be subject to a “price lock.” This means that the agreed-upon price will remain unchanged, barring any revisions in duties, taxes, or levies imposed by the government.
Government Impositions
The statement clarified that any alterations in government duties, taxes, or levies applicable at the time of vehicle delivery will be the responsibility of the customer. Lucky Motor Corporation will recover these additional charges from the customer before the vehicle’s delivery.
