ISLAMABAD – A voter slip makes it easy for the people to find their polling station and cast their votes smoothly. The voters can get their voter slips for the upcoming general elections 2024 in Pakistan by using a couple of ways.
To facilitate the upcoming general elections in Pakistan on February 8, 2024, voters can obtain their voter slips through various methods. Here are the steps:
- SMS Service:
- The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), in collaboration with NADRA, provides an SMS service.
- Eligible voters can check their registration status by sending an SMS with their CNIC number to the number 8300.
- An automated response will be received, providing information such as the name of the electoral area, block code, and serial number.
- Voters can note down this information on a piece of paper, creating their voter slip for the 2024 elections.
- Visit District Election Commissioner’s Office:
- Registered voters have the option to visit their respective District Election Commissioner’s office.
- The final electoral roll is available at these offices, and voters can obtain their voter slips in person.
- Download Voter Slip on Mobile Phone:
- Every registered voter can receive details about their constituency, block code, polling station name, and serial number by sending a message to 8300.
- Once the information appears on the mobile phone screen, users can take a screenshot and save it on their mobile phones.
- This digital version serves as their voter slip for the 2024 elections.
It’s important to note that voters are required to bring their original Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) to cast their votes, and even expired CNICs are acceptable. The polling will take place from 8 am to 5 pm, and February 8 has been declared a public holiday to facilitate voters in exercising their rights. As per the latest data from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), there are a total of 128,585,760 registered voters in the country.
