In a troubling incident on Wednesday, Mohsin Dawar, former Member National Assembly and Chairman of the National Democratic Movement, fell victim to an attack on his convoy in Tapi village, Miranshah, North Waziristan. The assault occurred while Dawar was on his way to Tapi as part of his election campaign.
Reports from the police indicate that unidentified assailants fired upon his convoy, resulting in damage to the front and side windows of Dawar’s vehicle.
Fortunately, Mohsin Dawar emerged unharmed, credited to the bulletproof features of his car. Following the attack, an application has been submitted to the Election Commission, urging the disqualification of both Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir.
